Integration and Discussion of Results

The illustrated walkthrough was only conducted on one of many tasks that are likely to be done by the user.  The information obtained from the cognitive walkthrough (CW) is then forwarded to the designer (who may or may not have been part of the design team).  Clearly, based on the CW the main problem lies in the need to clear forwarding before specifying a new destination.  Also, the template layout may be somewhat confusing and problematic for the task. The designer can pursue one of three remedies:  providing training so that users will bring the right goal structure to the task, supply prompt information that indicates to the user of the need to clear forwarding, or changing the system so that clearing is no longer required.  The design alterations are not part of the responsibility of the CW team but rather they are required to bring forward the important information obtained from the forms from each task and their interpretations.

The illustrated process would continue for all  the tasks analyzed and the designer would have to integrate and prioritize each problem that is brought out by the CW.
