Power Dimmer rotates two rotary dimmer switches under program control to vary the amount of power going to two attached 120 volt outlets. It is constructed by screwing two servo motors into two off-the-shelf dimmer switches wired to two 120 volt outlets.
Power Lamp is constructed by mounting a fan
(cannibalized from an old PC) beneath a children's lamp containing a rotating
light-shade. By plugging the fan and the light into the power dimmer, one can
programmatically adjust the intensity of the light and the fan speed, which in
turn affected the rotation of the lamp shade.
